Monika is an Associate Director and Assistant Professor at Inworks, an innovation initiative at the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus. She oversees the development of Inworks' mission on the medical campus and instructs for the downtown campus on collaborative prototyping and human-centered design. Monika joins Inworks following years of travel directing workshops on digital design and fabrication as the director of LAN / Live Architecture Network. Monika holds a postgraduate degree in 'Digital Architecture Production' from Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) in Barcelona. Her present work at present focuses on recognizing human health data as a critical parameter for architectural design and conversely, applying design mindsets to medical practices. In 2014, Monika began serving as a program mentor for Stanford Medicine X. Through her work with Medicine X and Inworks, she curates and instructs on new applications of 3D printing in medicine, and using design as a tool to enable a more participatory process for the patient and patient advocate perspective in health care.
